Humber College - Robert Gordon Centre

The Lakeshore campus of Humber College includes the adaptive re-use of a number of historic buildings which originally housed a psychiatric hospital and more recently has been used as a site for feature films.

Humber College acquired the site in 1995 and began to develop the historic buildings as classrooms and student activity centres. These handsome “cottages” have been carefully restored and renovated to house a wide range of College programs and collectively they comprise a gracious and beautiful setting for learning. Lecture facilities in these buildings are small scaled and intimate.

Novita has worked continually with Humber College to provide state-of-the-art presentation systems for lecture halls, classrooms and lab facilities and has designed music and video systems for student lounges and dining rooms.
